I just signed another 3 book deal with Hyperion, ensuring that Jack Daneils will be chasing bad guys for a while longer.
Thanks to my uber-agent, Jane Dystel, and my editor, Leslie Wells, for making this happen.
I'm going to celebrate by working my ass off promoting the series.
But first, beer!

Congrats! Definitely well deserved. I bought Whisky Sour Friday night and had it finished by Sunday morning. All I have to say is - when is the book tour coming East? I know a great little bar or two. . .You're inspiriation for those of us still unpubbed.
Great news! Congratulations! =D
Congratulations! Now that I know there are more coming, I can go ahead and read the copy of Bloody Mary I bought, without worrying about when I'll get my next fix. :)
I guess that means your chick lit series is on hold?
Congratulations, Joe... you are awesome!
Congrats! Great news.
So good to see hard work and great writing pay off for a great guy - congratulations dude:)
I'll have to buy you a drink at Bcon.
No, not Jack Daniels, unless that's what you want.

Wait a minute! This is the Bryon Quertermous blog? How'd that happen? I thought this was JA Konrath's!
Damn Internet Explorer!
Well until 2009. You are going to be a busy beaver with Jack. I kind of envy you. Might be nice to spend that much time with her.
Anyway, keep up the good work.
That's wonderful news. I just accepted a two book offer myself, so I'll celebrate along with you.
Congratulations.
Not particularly surprising. While it was probably in the works while you were on tour, what you did on tour likely convinced them that you are a writer worth pursuing (because you will work your butt off to sell books for them!).
