That reader miiight be a scriptwriter/director/producer making an unofficial first contact. I've been contacted three times through my website. The first guy I didn't believe at all until I had a skype meeting, and then matched his face with the photo of him on IMDB.com. I have no agent (don't want one truthfully), so having the website at the end of each read worked--for me anyway.

Best of luck.
KeithAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11291165.post-37463616739756228832013-08-08T14:25:10.923-05:002013-08-08T14:25:10.923-05:00Hi Nancy:

To be fair, I never had any trouble with him... except for missed deadlines and sometimes just getting in contact with the guy. He does great covers, but it was a hassle at times.

And, yes, I've been warned--which led me to not work with him anymore. I haven't had any issues with my current cover artists, and recommend them wholeheartedly.

Regards,
Keith
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11291165.post-73205292659075725912013-08-07T19:21:08.150-05:002013-08-07T19:21:08.150-05:00Thanks Keith! Looking forward to it. :)

Anonymous:

Neil Jackson did the Mountain Man and Cauldron Gristle cover. M Wayne Miller did the 131:TEN cover, as well as MM2. Matter of fact, I held off reading TWD until I was done with MM... and man, I tell ya, so glad I did-- Been feeling inferior ever since! Haven't read a book to match the comics. Loved Stephen Knight's work in military vs zombie stuff. Glenn James and Mike Fuchs are doing a good series called Arisen--if you haven't already checked it out.

Later then,

KeithAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11291165.post-85223730786951429012013-08-07T16:57:41.445-05:002013-08-07T16:57:41.445-05:00Keith

Loved them!

I know zombie-apoc is super hot right now, and I've picked up a number of indies in the genre but honestly, haven't finished one of them. On a personal note, the genre doesn't do much for me but aside from that too many zombie books (to me anyway) seem like TWD carbon copies or just poor attempts. Only exception would probably be Steven Knight who writes from the military perspective vs. the survivors. I wouldn't even have tried it but I saw you from KB.

MM was addictive and I couldn't put it down. I loved the Gus character, the big twist was a gutwrencher, Gus's descent into lunacy was riveting and disturbing and the ending did what very few books have ever done, it actually creeped me the f#ck then kept me up all night after. I won't spoil it for anyone but the zombies aren't the worst things in town.

It's really inspirational to see what you've accomplished in 2 years! Congrats again and best of luck!

DaveDavid L.
